Do you need to have your own horse to attend?

EACPA's School Barn provides horses for student use in lessons or with on-site professional trainers. Students also have the option to lease these horses during their enrollment at EACPA. In addition, students have the opportunity to board their personal horses and utilize the professional training programs available at the adjacent horse park.

What Equine Electives will you offer?

EACPA offers a comprehensive and dynamic equine elective curriculum, meticulously designed for students passionate about the equestrian world. These courses and hands-on experiences adhere to rigorous national and international standards, equipping students with specialized knowledge and practical skills. What is the Origin of Equis Amare and how do you pronounce it?

Equis Amare, For the Love of Horses, is of Latin decent. Prenounced "E" - Quis   "Ah" -Mar-Ra

What extracurricular activities and clubs are available beyond the equine program?

EACPA offers a School Vaulting Team and a Drill Team for student participation, along with numerous student-led clubs. While we don't sponsor interscholastic sports teams beyond our equine programs, we strongly encourage students to pursue external athletic opportunities. The local area provides a wealth of club sports, including swim teams, indoor soccer leagues, and baseball, among many others.

Does EACPA offer boarding options, or is it a day school only?

On-Campus/Distance Learning/Boarding

We offer a variety of flexible, accredited learning formats designed to meet the needs and support a diverse student population, both domestically and globally. 

  • Day Students (Hybrid Learning):  Students may choose between 5 days per week on-campus study or 3 days on-campus with 2 days of distance learning/independent study.

  • Boarding Program: Students live in designated EACPA student housing with 2 24 hour House moms and our Residential Director. Students attend classes 3 to 5 days per week. Boarding students participating in the 3-day on-campus program are expected to complete their independent study coursework on campus,  unless they have received prior approval to leave.

  • Distance Learning Available-nationally and internationally

What is the tuition Cost for EACPA?

EACPA is commitment to making an exceptional education accessible and affordable for all aspiring students. Understanding the financial considerations families face, EACPA has strategically set its tuition in line with the national average cost for private high schools.

In a further effort to support families, EACPA is developing the EA Grant Department. This new department will serve as a dedicated resource for students seeking financial assistance, providing access to a wide range of grants and scholarships. The EA Grant Department will actively work to bridge any financial gaps, ensuring that talented students can pursue their academic and equine passions at EACPA regardless of their economic background.

How does the equine program integrate with the academic curriculum?

Serving students in grades 9 through 12, EACPA integrates a rigorous academic curriculum including STEM education with real-world experience in Equine Science, horsemanship, and agricultural business, preparing students for success in both higher education and professional careers, in and out of the equine industry.

How does EACPA support Students' mental health, and what role does equine therapy play in that commitment?

At EACPA, the mental health and emotional well being of our students is a core priority. We believe in offering diverse, evidence-based approaches to emotional well being. Under the leadership of a licensed mental health specialist, our counseling department provides comprehensive, student-centered services in an emotionally supportive environment.  One of our most impactful, innovative and effective offerings is our equine therapy program. Facilitated in partnership with certified equine therapists this program provides students with a unique hands-on opportunity to engage in therapeutic activities with horses that foster self awareness, emotional regulation,  built trust and confidence. Horses are incredibly intuitive animals and their natural ability to connect, helps students develop healthy coping strategies in a non judgmental environment. By integrating equine therapy into our student support strategy, were not only supporting emotional growth, and reducing anxiety, but also reinforcing a culture of empathy, resilience, and self-confidnce.

Are there scholarships specifically for students interested in attending EACPA?

What are the qualifications and experience of your teachers?

Our faculty members are eager to get started. The individuals we have on our team are highly qualified professionals, distinguished by their deep expertise, and experience in their respective fields. The vast majority hold advanced degrees, including Master's and Ph.D.s, in the subjects they teach, reflecting a passion for their disciplines that extends beyond general pedagogy. Many also bring valuable real-world or research experience to the classroom, enriching their teaching with practical insights. Beyond academic credentials, our teachers are selected for their dedication to mentorship, their ability to foster intellectual curiosity, and their commitment to guiding students through the rigorous demands of college preparation. They are not just instructors, but also advisors, coaches, and active members of our equine community  providing comprehensive support for each student's academic and personal growth."

What safety measures are in place within the equine program?

Safety is our top priority both on campus and at the adjacent horse park. Our comprehensive equine program prioritizes safety for both humans and horses, by requiring the mandatory use of ASTM/SEI certified riding helmets for all riding activities, implementing strict handling protocols, facility and equipment maintenance, and operating in accordance with United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) rules and guidelines to ensure a regulated and secure environment.

Are internships or career exploration opportunities available within the equine industry?

Yes, internships are an integral part of our hands-on educational curriculum at EACPA. Through the partnership with the adjacent horse park student have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of  equine industry internships. We believe in providing  a robust practical experience to complement academic learning.

When will you be accepting student applications?

We're excited to share that we are in the final stages of securing our funding, and the response from prospective families has been overwhelmingly positive, resulting in a growing waiting list. We anticipate opening our student application process once our funding is fully secured and we can confirm our official opening date.
